Graphics

The “Premier” in the title refers to the quality and style of the graphics, as well as the slick gameplay. We play with two standard decks, and the cards from which swish from the live shoe to our hands to the dead shoe with smooth accompanying sound effects. If the Dealer lands a 10 or Ace, she peaks to the accompaniment of a lifted corner of her first card. And, as with other online casino games in Microgaming’s Premier series, we have the option to change tables, playing different felts and table styles to freshen the game if the mood takes our fancy. And all the while we play to twinkling jazz piano riffs and the gentle hubbub of casino sounds. All of which can be toggled, obviously.


Gameplay

Microgaming zhuzhes traditional Blackjack gameplay - and payouts - in its Premier Multihand Bonus Blackjack with some tidy bonus bets that we can play on top of our regular bets. Remember, this is a multihand game so we have the option to play five hands at once - plus five bonus hands simultaneously. The usual Blackjack rules apply - Blackjack pays 3:2, Insurance wins pay 2:1 and the Dealer must stand on Soft 17. Helpful strategy hints appear on the bottom to guide us in our choices. But we can split three times to make four hands, giving us a mind-boggling potential 20 hands from the original five. And then come the side bets. With a 25.00 max bet on Microgaming’s bonus bets and two potential 50:1 payouts for two Jack and Ace of Spades (the game is played with two decks, remember) plus three 25:1 max payouts for suited Jacks and Aces, this leaves us with the whopping jackpot available. It’s unlikely, of course, but the potential is always there.


Verdict
