Let’s set the scene. When we were at the ICE Totally Gaming exhibition earlier this year, Microgaming teased us with a new slot. A slot that’s set in a medieval, fantasy kingdom. Fast forward to October 10th and the wait has been worth it. Microgaming isn’t only releasing its new Cash of Kingdoms slot, but is also introducing us to Slingshot Studios, a new independent game studio that will be creating exclusive Microgaming content.
Catapulting To New Heights
Microgaming is one of the oldest and possibly wisest gaming developers in the industry. The studio is known for its range of superb online slots and, more recently, for developing partnerships with game studios that deliver yet more innovative slots. We’ve seen it partner up with Just for the Win and Skillzz Gaming to give us a range of new, exciting games. And now we’re ready for more.
Cash of Kingdoms will be released under the Slingshot Studios brand and will introduce us to new features. This includes Invading Wilds, which can be triggered in the base game and during free spins. Just imagine the animations when this feature activates…or, you know, wait a few more weeks and see it for yourself. We’re looking forward to some more medieval action on the reels and are especially excited about the new innovative bonuses.
Another Partnership, Another Great Slot
At ICE Totally Gaming, Microsoft decked out its bar with medieval accessories, sets of armour, archery targets – the whole scene was set. But we weren’t entirely sure for what. But now we are. And we’re welcoming Slingshot into the Microgaming family with open arms.
