Lightning Box
Somewhere in the outback of Australia (or at least we think), there were two great gaming maths whizzes, who were looking for their next great challenge. When they joined forces in 2004, they created Lightning Box and the rest, as they say, is history.
But let’s have a quick look at the history because saying that phrase doesn’t always mean much. Lightning Box was created by Peter Causley and David Little, two geniuses with 40 years of experience between them. Before they came together, David Little was the owner of Gameworks International in Sydney, pioneering work on five reel slots. In fact, some of the clients included NextGen. Peter Causley began his career at Aristocrat and was responsible for developing a hugely successful range of games. So you can see why Blueprint Gaming is such a success.
Lightning Box released its first online game in 2010 on Chartwell Technology, one of the first companies to deliver Java and Flash games. It seems like so long ago because nowadays, Lightning Box have been updating its classic range to HTML5 to reach a new audience of slots players. And it does this on top of releasing great slot after slot. Panda Pow!, Redroo, Respin Rhino, Silver Lion and Astro Cat are just some of the more popular titles. Though we do wonder if Lightning Box favours animal-themed slots over any other. Perhaps that’s what happens when you live and work in Australia and have more experiences with the wild.
The formula for success is, well, actually it’s a formula. Causley and Little claim to have created a formula that not only enhances the different combinations to win on a slot, but also for its bonus features and celebratory visuals. On top of that, top quality audio is slapped on top to make sure each and every slot is to the highest standard. No wonder it was shortlisted for most innovative slot in the 2017 EGR Awards. And it’s also no wonder that it’s been creating numerous partnerships over the years. Lots of its games are available at land-based and online casinos and via the NYX Interactive platform they can be enjoyed in the regulated markets. In 2017, it signed a deal with Microgaming’s Quickfire platform to give even more casinos access to its content. And in 2018 it put pen to paper on a deal with SG Digital to further expand its global footprint. From its offices in Sydney, Lightning Box are stomping all over the globe!
With maths, formulas and a lot more intelligent stuff that we don’t fully understand working behind the scenes, Lightning Box’s games are top-notch. And they meet the most stringent online (and offline) regulations, so we can all enjoy them. Bonza!
