Nerves of Steal exudes glitz, glamour and the colour of gold. From the shiny gold reflections on the screen to the pot of gold at the bottom of the main screen, this casual game is all about winning big.

So it’s reflected in its imagery. Quite literally. We’re presented with 50 panels on screen, five rows across and ten columns high. Each one is…gold, of course.

A series of white lights surrounding the panel at its border, reminding us of a dressing room in Las Vegas. Add that to the vibrancy and nature of this game and it certainly has that Vegas feel.

Gameplay

The aim of the game is to uncover a series of hidden chips within. We have four lives, represented by four hearts at the top of the screen.

If we don’t find a chip then out goes one of the heart lights. If we do find a chip then the jackpot amount, positioned above the hearts, goes up!

Better yet, if we’ve lost some lives and are successful in finding a chip then all the hearts are completely replenished. This gives us new vigour to continue our search for chips and climb towards the game’s jackpot. If we can get all ten then we win the jackpot associated with our initial bet.

We choose this when we first play, adjusting our betting amount from £1 to £10 and we can see the jackpot potential increase as we do. In fact, with the maximum £10 bet, we could win 1million! So now the Nerves of Steal come into play.

Will we make it all the way to ten chips or will we cash out with an already sizable win? It’s a tough choice, but it’s going to be a thrill finding out.
