Six Shooter might sound like the kind of game we might expect at the local fun fair, but that’s definitely not the case. We’re not playing to win a big teddy here. We’re playing to win to win the £2,400 prize. And we do so in glorious graphics that make us feel like we’re in a classy casino. Definitely not a fun fair.

Set on a red felt table, with green borders and dealer chips in the corner, we already feel like we’ve gone up a level in class. To the top of the screen we see the Six Shooter logo, next to the Croupier’s space while ours is signalled at the bottom under the ‘Ante’ outline. The betting options are shown as chips at the bottom, colour coordinated and clearly signposted for our benefit.

Though this game could have done a better job with the dice colours – blue for the croupier and red for us – not the best when playing against a red felt table! Thankfully, it doesn’t impact too much on our experience thanks to the bright white number dots. Well, that and the fact the software can count for us!

Gameplay

They see me rooooooolling. They haaaaating. Now that’s in your head, it’s time to knuckle down and beat the Croupier on Six Shooter. All while singing along to Chamillionaire. The first thing to do is to make a bet. Then we click on “Roll” and the Croupier’s six dice will reveal six numbers.

We now get nine chances - three rolls of three dice - to match the numbers displayed. For instance, if the croupier scores one, two, three, four, five and six then those are the exact numbers we need to match on our rolls. However, with nine chances, it’s often that we beat the croupier and match the numbers on screen, it’s just the payout that differs.

If we match all six numbers on the first roll, the payout is 12/1, with 8/5 scored on the second roll and a payout of 1/1 on the final roll. Matching no numbers ends the round, and we can then place a new bet, Rebet or use the Rebet x2 option to kick start the next round.

Verdict

Six Shooter is the big brother to 1x2 Gaming’s Sharp Shooter, with more dice to throw and bigger prizes to win. For those of you after a bigger ante and bigger jackpot, then this is the quick-fire dice game for you. It may be simple to play, but that’s part of the appeal.

There’s no need to worry about strategy, bluffing or other players at the table. And with the chance to win the £2,400 jackpot, we will certainly be riding dirty, aiming high and shooting deep.
