The Wish Master is a cartoon type genie (we wouldn’t want any other kind), who appears as the slot’s main character to help grant our wishes of winning. He/she/it looks a bit ominous, all in black with bright yellow lighting across its hands and er…tail…but nothing to spook us too much. The wins it provides soon put us at ease.

The slot itself takes us into a dark cavern filled with treasure, but leaves a lamp looming on the corner of our screen. Obviously, this is so the genie can come out during our play. The royal card values appear as the low paying symbols, while the high payers are made up of Scorpions, Snakes, Lions and Birds, all things we expect to see in a cave of course.

The Snake is our favourite though, mainly because if it appears three, four or five times, it gives us 1.5, ten or 37.5 times our stake.

Gameplay

The Wish Master is a visual masterpiece. We get feel-good messages popping up on screen, such as “may your wishes come true” and with each spin, it’s almost as if we can feel the presence of magic. Maybe that’s because the bonus features have a magical feel to them. This is especially the case when the Wish Master Bonus comes into play.

By landing the Lamp Scatter symbol anywhere on the reels, the genie pops out of the lamp and gives us ten Free Spins. But each of these come with an extra bonus too! For instance, we could get an Extra Wild, Expanding Wild, two random Wilds, Multipliers or the whole reel which features the Scatter could go…wait for it…Wild! As we spin away, not only are we treated with NetEnt’s famed graphics and animations, but also a load of generous genie wins!

Verdict

When we think of Disney giving Aladdin the reboot, this is the type of thing we had in mind. Updated visuals, crisper graphics and smooth gameplay.

On a slot, it works superbly as is evident on The Wish Master slot. It definitely doesn’t need real action Bad Boys on it to make it work. The Wish Master gives us plenty of chances to trigger Free Spins and gives us a new genie to grant our wishes.
