Gameplay

Wild Turkey has a pretty bombastic soundtrack. As we play away, it helps create an enticing atmosphere, leaving us on the edge of our seats on each spin. What will the turkeys do to us? Thankfully they haven’t turned against humanity but instead reward us with their various features. For example, when the Wild Totem appears three, four or five times, we get 15, 30 or 60 Free Spins, on top of substituting for all symbols during the base game.

But when the Free Spins come, they treat us to the whole nine yards. We get to see a cutscene which shows the sun setting down across the mountains. Our turkey heroes then gather around a fire, the drums kick in and our Free Spins are ready to use. During the spins, only Stacked Wilds appear on the reels. They replace all other symbols and if a Stacked Wild appears to cover a reel completely, we get another two Free Spins.

Verdict

On first glance, it’s easy to think Wild Turkey is just another novelty slot from NetEnt. But upon playing, we discover it’s so much more than unique characters in a unique setting.
