Whoever said you couldn’t make an online slot based on silent movies was wrong. Dead wrong. IGT takes on the challenge and succeeds with the release of its new slot, Keystone Kops. But with the American slots powerhouse not necessarily known for jam-packing its games with bonus features, is it fair to suggest that this release is aiming to challenge those that do, like Blueprint Gaming?
Slapstick On The Slots
Blueprint Gaming is known for its cartoonish slots that boast oodles of bonus features. Slots like Wild Antics, Ted and Top Cat have given the Newark-based developer its own identity and brought it success to boot. So, just as plenty of slots studios do battle with each other, IGT has decided to take on Blueprint on its own turf.
IGT’s five reel, 30 payline slot boasts cartoon-like visuals of the Cops, Whistles, Handcuffs – everything we expect from old school coppers. But it’s not just the funny visuals and animations that will make fans enjoy this slot so much. No. It’s the huge amount of bonus features available. With five base game modifiers, such as the Mystery Multiplier and the Second Chance Bonus Trigger, plus four dedicated bonus rounds the action is manic.
Well Worth The Wait
Not many people might be waiting for a sequel to Keystone Kops but after playing this slot they might revisit the old silent comedy. Slapstick is a visual form, especially in the old black and white movies. IGT manages to apply this to slots by adding a huge range of bonus features which replicate the slapstick nature of Keystone Kops. Now we just have to see how many more silent heroes will make their way to the reels.
