Forget the Ides of March, it’s the slots of April as we enjoy SG Digital’s Centurion slot with gusto. And how could we not? An idyllic setting awaits – but not the kind SG Digital showed off in its Wai-Kiki slot – instead we look forward to an ancient Roman setting that transports us through history. Muscly Roman warriors, a Roman amphitheatre and a range of base game bonuses make Roman history a lot more interesting.
We Came, We Spun, We Conquered
There are centuries (see what we did there?) of famous names in Roman history, but we’re not bothered about Julius or Augustus. We’re focusing on Maximum Winnus, the true hero. Sure, he might only exist on the Centurion slot but he’s a slot character ready to launch the summer and prove he’s much better than anything we’d find in a history book. A mountain of a man, he’s the main character of this five reel, 20 payline slot and shows his face during the bonus features. And boy are there loads.
We all love bonus features. And if you thought Blueprint’s Ted had tonnes of them, Maximus gives him a run for his money. Four Reel Modifiers can be triggered at any time, giving us colossal 3×3 symbols, extra bonus symbols, a guaranteed win or a five of a kind win. Neat. Then there’s the Bonus Rounds, triggered by three or more of the Bonus symbol. Free Spins and instant prizes are up for grabs but it’s the Road to Rome feature which takes our slots play to another level. Literally. We roll a dice and see our Centurion hero move across a board, picking up Multipliers and prizes along the way!
It’s A Centurion’s Life For Us
Centurion ticks loads of boxes. Loads. It gives us a cool mascot to rival Gonzo from Gonzo’s Quest. And it gives us a nice take on ancient Rome, something which we haven’t seen a lot of on slots. We’ve had Vikings and even Napoleon, but not many of the famous Latin emperors. All we needed was a centurion and now this slot has given it to us. Yay! Or should that be Ave?
